The Skystream 3.7 is the first small wind generator designed
specially for grid connected residential use. However, the Skystream
may be used in Off Grid Systems with batteries. Different from
other technologies the Skystream 3.7 has the controls and inverter
built in.
This wind generator was designed for very low winds so
it will start producing power in as little as 10 mph winds
with full output achieved at 20 mph winds. However, best
results start at approximately 12 mph winds.
The elegant 3 bladed Skystream 3.7 with its sleek, distinctive
fiberglass reinforced composite blades blend into a neighborhood
and operates at 45 decibels at 40' which is as quietly as
the trees blowing in the wind.

Whisper Series
Exclusive to the Whisper Wind Generators is the side furling
Angle-Governor that protects the turbine in high winds by turning
the alternator and blades out of the wind, reducing turbine exposure.
Unlike other wind generators that lose as much as 80% of their
output when furled, this technology allows the Whisper to achieve
maximum output in any wind.
Included with these wind generators is the Whisper Controller,
which includes a diversion load to ensure quiet, safe operation
when the batteries are charged. It installs in minutes easily
inside your electrical room and protects both your wind turbine

The Bergey Excel is a 7.5 kilowatt, three blade upwind turbine
designed for high reliability, low maintenance and automatic operation
in adverse weather conditions. These wind generators achieve high
reliability through rugged construction and a minimum of moving
parts. They are well suited for large rural homes and will deliver
years of "worry free" power.
The Excel features the patented Powerflex blade system, which
provides passive blade pitching as a function of rotor speed.
The blades are set for a higher pitch to aid start up, but "flatten
out" at speed to improve operating aerodynamic efficiency.
The geometry of the mainframe creates the passive Autofurl high
wind speed protection. These wind turbine has no shut-down wind
speed; it can be manually shut down using the furling winch installed
at the base of the tower.
The controller that comes with the Excel wind turbine uses a
three phase semi converter and features a LCD display indicating
the charging mode of the unit. The semi converter uses the phase
modulation to control charging voltage and current based upon
the battery bank voltage. Safe operation of the Excel wind turbine
is independent of the load conditions, allowing the controller
to unload the turbine during regulation.

The Excel has only four moving parts, no adjustable elements
and no grease fittings. The static components are designed
for a 50 year life and the dynamic components a 30 year
life. The predicted major requirements include blades refinishing
and alternator bearing replacements at 15 years.
This wind generator is designed for off-grid unless it
is tied in with an SW inverter and battery system.
Comes with a five year warranty.
